Adelaide Oval
Trenchless Pipelaying Construction were very proud to recently complete work at the world-renowned Adelaide Oval.
TPC were engaged to install a conduit link to the middle of the oval for the new “Stump Cam.” With the 2017 Test Match Series approaching TPC worked hard to ensure that the process ran smoothly and on time with limited disruption to the very important pitch.
To allow for the new Stump Cam, directional boring from the main access raceway to the middle of the oval was required, ensuring no damage to the hallowed turf. As part of this project we were required to remove 600mm thick concrete which resulted in us using specialised concrete cutters at the bore entry location. TPC worked in conjunction with Adelaide Oval Staff to remove a section of turf in the middle of the oval to ensure minimal damage to the pitch.
With the cricket season now in full swing TPC are very proud to say that they were involved in bringing fantastic camera footage from the stumps to all the cricket fans around the world.
